Dipping Beneath the Surface of the Beautiful Bay of Islands
Bay of Islands Snorkellingwelcomes you to the warmest waters here in New Zealand, just a few hours north of Auckland.
Let us introduce you to our underwater world. During your memorable snorkelling trip, we will see an abundance of sealife and explore big archways in a well-established marine reserve.
The Bay of Islands comprises of 144 picturesque islands off the Eastern coast of Northland, New Zealand. Our snorkelling trips depart from both Russell and Paihia wharves.
Our main area for snorkelling is Deep Water Cove on the Cape Brett Peninsula, which is very well known for its clarity of water – even up to 20 metres at times. Many of the local tour boats don’t have the required power or range to explore these waters, but our vessel Pelorus Belle will get us there easily in an enjoyable 30-minute journey. Take lots of photos, spot some native bird life, or just relax in the sunshine during your comfortable passage through the stunning scenery.
Enjoy the true passion and 20+ years of experience of your locally-grown Skipper Tammy, who will happily show off our fabulous area and share a few of her amazing experiences along the way. Learn about the history and geology of the Islands – and with our wealth of knowledge of all marine, bird and fish life of the area, you’ll get the best out of your trip.
With small numbers (max. 12) we will give you a personalised trip where you’ll make friends and share memories of a life time. So escape the masses and come join us snorkelling in the Bay of Islands.
